The Iron Sting is a guided mortar that utilizes lasers and GPS technology to hit urban targets without harming civilians. The mortar itself has automated wings and a built-in navigation system to strike a hyper-specific area. It is also easily accessible for use on the battlefield in any weather condition. At the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, the Iron Sting was used by the Maglan Unit of the Commando Brigade in cooperation with the IAF to conduct targeted operations and eliminate terrorists in multiple arenas.
Innovative technology such as the Iron Sting tries to minimize as much harm to the civilian population as possible and aids IDF troops in eliminating enemies with precision.
